How is it possible that this wondrous collaboration between the late dub legend Lee "Scratch" Perry and Berlin IDM duo Mouse On Mars has been shelved for so long? The three already entered the studio together in 2019, though the Germans probably did a lot of tinkering afterward. Perry's delightful mumbling and groaning float here in a rather experimental electro-acoustic landscape – with dub, kraut, and jazz influences. It often brings to mind the equally experimental, intergenerational collaboration between Gil Scott-Heron and Richard Russell.
