We live in an era of remasters, remixes, and reimaginations, but this writer has never before seen a band release a 'director's cut' of an album that is already thirty years old. On Placebo Re:Created, Brian Molko's alt-rock band re-approaches their debut with quite a few studio tricks they hadn't even invented in 1996. 'Nancy Boy' already sounded mega back then, however rough-and-ready it was recorded; now you can experience it as if it were IMAX.
