George Adams (1940-1992) était un saxophoniste ténor passionné qui a toujours eu son propre son intense et une approche personnelle du jazz. Paradise Space Shuttle est son troisième album en tant que seul leader et comprend le standard « Send In The Clowns », « Metamorphosis », un hommage à Charles Mingus, et le titre d'ouverture de l'album « Intentions ». La formation pour ces enregistrements comprenait Ron Burton au piano, Don Pate à la basse, Al Foster à la batterie et Azzedin Weston aux percussions.
Paradise Space Shuttle comprend de nouvelles notes de pochette rédigées par le journaliste musical Scott Yanow.
