We've known for years that Kevin Morby idolizes Bob, Lou, and Leonard, but when the singer-songwriter drove through Kansas City in his new pickup truck a few years ago, he suddenly understood the appeal of Tom Petty. Now, on his eighth album, Little Wide Open, Morby ventures into vivid, warm-blooded, spacious "heartland folk" in the spirit of Petty.
