Lykke Li's The Aftertparty is many things at once. It is reportedly her last album, it is by her own admission her darkest and most intense album, with "apocalyptic bongos" and a seventeen-piece orchestra, but it is also her most poppy album since Li's first album, Youth Novels (2008). At twenty-five minutes, it is a short but quite powerful farewell.
