'No More Water' is a tribute to James Baldwin, but, completely in the spirit of the master, it is an experience, a church service, a party, a confession and a call to action. As has befitted Ndegeocello for years, it is also music that breaks the boundaries of genres; it also seeks out the boundaries of sexuality, religion and skin color, themes that also appear in Baldwin's work.
