RUTHIE FOSTER – MILEAGE
Ruthie Foster's tenth album doesn't strictly adhere to the 'blues' label, but is just as strongly influenced by soul, gospel and country. Recorded in Nashville with Tyler Bryant, 'Mileage' sounds both light and haunting. With her song 'Rainbow' she tells what it's like to live as a black woman in the LGBTQ+ community, while also writing about the experiences she has had in her glowing career, such as in the title track.
