STING – THE NIGHT WATCH – LIVE AT THE RIJKSMUSEUM
'Sounds Like Art' is a new initiative by ARTE that invites musicians to perform amongst works of art in a European museum of their choice. Sting will perform at the Rijksmuseum, among works by Rembrandt and Vermeer. Accompanied by his regular guitarist Dominic Miller, Sting will share stories from his career and perform songs from his illustrious oeuvre, including classics by The Police. For the occasion, Sting will play a unique 17th century guitar – originally made for the court of Louis XIV, the Sun King – which has been generously loaned to the museum. An important testament from an important singer with a Dutch touch.
