How long did it actually take for Tom Smith dared to attempt a solo album for the first time. And it still feels like There Is Nothing In The Dark That Isn't There In The Light It's as if the 44-year-old singer of Editors is searching for his place. Which isn't a bad thing, by the way. It creates a raw edge you won't often encounter with his regular band. Sometimes we hear Springsteen, sometimes a trumpet, sometimes just Smith and his guitar. He finds plenty along the way.
