It's no wonder that The Veils have captured the attention of directors David Lynch, Tim Burton, and Paolo Sorrentino over the past twenty years. The British/New Zealand indie rock band is quite adept at creating a (suffocating) atmosphere and playing with the imagination, far beyond Finn Andrews' lyrics. On the band's second album in a year, Fragile World, they do so 'live', with hardly any studio trickery. The raw snapshot of the times they paint indeed sounds like an eerie thriller.
